The MSED program committee for the 2020 CSC meeting (to be held May 24-28, 2020, in Winnipeg) seeks proposals for MSED-related symposia. Interested chairs should prepare a document with the title, organizer’s name, affiliation and contact information, requested number of half-days, and a concise description of the proposed symposium and justification. Please submit your proposals to Song Liu (University of Manitoba Divisional CSC 2020 Program Chair for MSED) at Song.Liu@umanitoba.ca by April 23rd, 2019.

The MSED is happy to announce the opening of the competition for the annual MSED Graduate Award in polymer chemistry. The award is open to all graduate students
who are currently pursuing either a master’s or doctorate degree in the area of polymer science or polymer engineering at a Canadian university. Students having graduated in January 2017 or
afterwards will also be considered for the award.

The MSED has selected Tannaz Ebrahimi of the University of British Columbia (Mehrkhodavandi group) as the winner of the 2017 edition of the MSED Graduate Award. Congratulations Tannaz!
The Macromolecular Science and Engineering Division of the Chemical Institute of Canada announces its 2017 Graduate Award in polymer chemistry. The award is open to all graduate students

Prof. Michael Brook of McMaster University has been granted the 2017 Macromolecular Sciences and Engineering Award from the Chemical Institute of Canada. Prof. Brook is widely recognized as a world leader in developing novel silicon-based polymers for industrial and biological applications. Congratulations Prof. Brook!
